The Bourla, Antwerp’s 1834 theatre, keeps its ropes and pulleys
Antwerp’s Bourla theatre opened in 1834 and still holds its original wooden stage machinery. The €98m renovation that will keep it has been pushed back to after the summer of 2027.
Museum Mayer van den Bergh closes its house until 2029

Antwerp Fashion Weekend becomes the Antwerp.Fashion Festival
Antwerp’s fashion weekend now has an official name and a plan behind it. The first Antwerp.Fashion Festival, 4 to 7 June 2026, put on more than 100 shows and drew 26,500 visitors; the next is planned for 2028.
